Vanguard Airlines says it lost 7.6-million dollars in the first quarter of the year, a sharp turn-around from a year ago. In the first quarter of ’99, Vanguard made 41-thousand dollars. Vanguard officials say late aircraft delivery, higher fuel prices and Y2K concerns are reasons for the losses. Vanguard is based in Kansas City.
