President’s retirement deal at CMSU questioned

April 19, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

State Auditor Claire McCaskill has big questions about a big retirement deal struck between Central Missouri State University and its former president, Ed Elliott. She is meeting with the school’s board of governors today to outline the concerns she has. McCaskill says she has never found a contract, in the history of Missouri, that comes close to the deal Elliott has with the University. She says the University has gotten nothing in return for the 330-thousand dollars in this first year. She says the Attorney General believes parts of the contract are illegal.
