The state Senate’s plan to shrink the size of the legislature could backfire… The Senate proposes cutting the size of the House from 163 to 105 members. House floor leader Wayne Crump of Potosi has an alternate plan that would INcrease the size of the legislature. The Senate now has 34 members and the legislature totals 197. Crump’s counter proposal to the senate would create a legislature of 200 members.
