Missouri defensive tackle Jeff Marriott was the only Tiger taken in the NFL draft. Marriott was a 5th round selection by New England. Mizzou all-American center Rob Riti wasn’t drafted, but signed a free agent deal with the St. Louis Rams. Missouri cornerback Carlos Posey signed with New Orleans. Springfield native Steve Warren, who played at Nebraska, went in the 3rd round to Green Bay. Southwest Missouri State tight end Brad St. Louis went in round seven to Cincinnati. The Bengals also took kicker Neil Rackers, who is a St. Louis native and played at Illinois. Another St. Louis native, Miami of Ohio receiver Trevor Gaylor, was chosen by San Diego.
