Most of the child-care sites run by the Kansas City area YWCA will stay open under some new management and financial arrangements. The YWCA had feared it would have to close all 14 sites in the metropolitan area because of money problems. But now the United Way, which earlier cut off funding for the prgoram because of ongoing financial difficulties, is providing a 150-thousand-dollar emergency donation to keep things going through next Friday. Three of the facilities are being taken over by a different group. Nine will be taken over by the YMCA…The future of three other sites is uncertain.
