The driver of a car that hit an Amish buggy near Seymour, killing the mother of 13 who was inside it, then left the scene has been given a fine and probation…and has been told he must work with the Amish community. Marvin Hampton will have to do 500 hours of community service work for the Amish, and will have to chop wood for the Amish schools and for the husband of the woman who was killed. Hampton’s lawyer says Hampton has met with the woman’s family and they have been working to improve roads to make them safer for Amish buggies.
