Farmland Industries of Kansas City is one of a half dozen big farming interests going together to market meat on the internet. Farmland is the nation’s biggest farm cooperative. The meat exchange targets groceries, restaurants and lunch meats. Farmland is joined by Cargill, Smithfield Foods, Tyson and Gold Kist in the 20-million-dollar venture.
