St. Luke’s hospital in Kansas City has been told to pay one-and-a-half million dollars to the family of a man who died after back surgery. The family of Jeffry Philpott says the hospital did not properly monitor and treat Philpott after his surgery. The hospital says its care was appropriate. An appeal is being considered.
