Twins pitcher Eric Milton was perfect for over six innings, and when the Royals finally started hitting, it was too little, too late. Minnesota beat the Royals 13-7. Milton retired the first 20 batters he faced, before Carlos Beltran doubled in the 7th. By then, it was 13-0. Kansas City scored 7 runs in the 8th. Beltran, Jermaine Dye and Mike Sweeney all homered. Royals starter Jay Witasick allowed six runs in 4 and 2/3 innings, and reliever Brad Rigby was pounded for 7 runs in just 1 and a third. Jose Rosado pitches this afternoon against Sean Bergman, as the Royals try to make it three of four from the Twins.
