J.D. Drew hit a pair of homers, including a grand slam, and the Cardinals are undefeated after finishing off a sweep of the Cubs yesterday, 13-3. The Redbirds buried Chicago with a 7-run third inning. Jim Edmonds drove home two with a single to give the Cards a 3-2 lead. Then Fernando Tatis, Drew, and Mike Matheny hit back to back to back home runs, and the rout was on. Drew added a grand slam in the 4th. Garrett Stephenson pitched seven innings for the victory. The Cardinals outscored the Cubs 30-8 in the three game series. They open a series at home with Milwaukee tonight.
