Conservation department firefighters have been fighting brush and forest fires in southern Missouri, almost from border to border, since yesterday. Department fire supervisor Doug Halliwell says the fires burned through the night in south central Missouri. Other areas hard hit–from Camdenton west to the state line, and in southwest Missouri. Halliwell thinks most of the fires are arson cases.
