State conservation officials are urging Missourians not to burn anything outdoors today. Spokesman Bruce Palmer says fires can easily get out of control under when it’s windy. The weather service says southwest winds will increase to up to 30 miles per hour this afternoon…with gusts up to 40 miles per hour. Truck drivers, and people driving vans and other high profile vehicles should use caution, especially along east-west roadways like I-70 and highways 50 and 36. Forecasters say winds will be nearly perpendicular to vehicles on those roads.
