Lincoln University president David Henson is incensed about a Time Magazine article that implies the traditionally black college has a segregated campus. Henson says the article casts Lincoln in the wrong light, claiming it has done extreme damage to its reputation and could scare away students. Henson says the student’s hometown usually dictates whether students live on campus or not, not the student’s race. He says a majority of black students live on campus, because they come from far away whereas the majority of white students come from the central Missouri area and commute to the Jefferson City campus.
