Georgia Prison Escapee Convicted

A second Georgia prison escapee has been convicted of assaulting Missouri law officers during a shoot-out near the small community of Huntsville. The jury picked in Carrollton to hear the trial in Moberly has convicted 29-year-old Donny Fisher of assaulting five officers during a shoot-out. Fisher and Roy Sanford exchanged gunfire with officers. They gave up when officers shot tear gas into the house they were holed up in. Two of the five officers shot during the firefight suffered serious injuries. One was permanently blinded in one eye. Sanford was convicted and sentenced to prison earlier.
