Newest unemployment figures say Missouri’s jobless rate for February, seasonally adjusted, was 2.6-percent. Bill Niblack is an analyst for the economic development department, says the rate is up three-tenths of a percent from January, but still continuing at record, or near-record monthly lows. Niblack says cold and snowy weather during the test week drove the rate up a little because of shutdowns of jobs requiring outside work.
