Kansas City native Tom Watson worked overtime Sunday, but came up just short of winning his first major on the Senior PGA tour. Tom Kite had a tap-in for birdie on the 6th playoff hole, to beat Watson at the Tradition, the year’s first major on the Senior tour. Watson, Kite and Larry Nelson all finished 8-under par Sunday. Nelson bogeyed the second playoff hole, leaving Watson and Kite to duel for the title.
