Appeals Court Sides with Klan

April 1, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

A federal appeals court rules the Ku Klux Klan has a right to pick up trash along Missouri highways. The 8th US Circuit Court of Appeals says the state transportation department’s efforts to keep the Klan out of the state’s Adopt a Highway program are discriminatory. The KKK has been assigned a stretch of Interstate 55 in south St Louis to pick up trash. MODOT has not decided whether to appeal the ruling.
