Blues Beat Bruins; Wings Next

March 31, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

When the Blues meet the Red Wings tomorrow in a showdown for first place, St. Louis will have a little breathing room. The Blues widened their lead over Detroit to three points with a 3-2 win at Boston last night. The victory gives the Blues a new team record for points in a season, with 108. The 1980-81 Blues finished with 107. Rookie Jochen Hecht scored twice, giving him three goals in two games. Scott Young scored his 21st goal. The Blues square off against their long-time nemesis, the Wings, tomorrow at high noon.
