Evans family convictions for running interstate prostitution ring

March 29, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

Six members of the so-called Evans family have been convicted in St. Louis of running a large interstate prostitution ring. The six are among 15 people arrested last August and charged with conspiracy to transport minors and others in interstate commerce with intent for those people to engage in prostitution. The other nine have pleaded guilty. The group also has been ordered for forfeit money, property, and vehicles used in the enterprise–one million dollars in cash, four houses in Minneapolis and five vehicles.
