Strike threatened at Claycomo Ford plant

March 28, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

About 99 percent of the autoworkers voting at the Claycomo Ford plant have authorized a strike. Ford and the union local have been negotiating for months on a local deal that supplements the national contract. A union spokesman says the two sides haven’t been able to agree on some health and safety issues. No union has walked out at a Ford plant since a strike in Atlanta 14 years ago.
