One of the first jobs of the new chief of the Ozark Rural Fire Protection District will be to unscramble an internal political mess that has led to the resignations of ten rural firefighters and the district board of trustees. Jake Archer also is the fire chief in the city of Ozark. The president of the rural fire protection district says Archer is not qualified to be a chief.
