Missouri Southern State College tips off the Division-II Elite Eight today in Louisville, Kentucky. The Lions are hoping a season-long roll can carry them all the way to a national title. The Lions opened the season by posting their first ever unbeaten non-conference record. They followed that up by roaring to the MI-Double-A regular season title, losing only twice. Missouri Southern won the conference tournament, earning the right to host a regional. The Lions then beat Washburn, and Midwestern State of Texas to earn a trip to Louisville for the elite eight. Now 28-2, the Lions meet the Moccasins of Florida Southern at 12:30. Florida Southern is 32-1.
