A Potosi prison inmate doing two life sentences has been found dead in his cell. Inmate Eugene Fleer was in prison for drowning a three-year-old boy and his 15-year-old babysitter in a bathtub in a Fenton-area apartment. That was in 19-86. He was arrested in Columbia two years later and sentenced to prison in ’91. He was 42. An autopsy will confirm his cause of death. It’s thought to be from natural causes.
