Olympic Qualifier Moves to Six Flags

March 21, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

The St. Francis River is too low, so competitors for the U.S. Olympic canoe and kayak teams are going to Six Flags. Fredericktown was supposed to host the mid-continent qualifier for the Olympic team last weekend, but because of the river level, the event has been postponed to this coming weekend. It will be held at Six Flags Amusement Park in Eureka, at the “Thunder River” ride. The qualifier is one of four across the country for those hoping to make the summer Olympics in Australia.
