A Clinton man has been convicted of strangling his 80-year-old mother in 19-97. The sheriff says Larry Charles Streu killed his mother because he was afraid he’d lose his father’s woodworking tools. The prosecutor did not ask for the death penalty. Streu will be sentenced in May to life, without parole.
