Two small-town boys who made good go home again, hoping to do better. Treasurer Bob Holden and Governor Mel Carnahan, both former residents of the little southern Missouri town of Birch Tree, make weekend campaign appearances together. Carnahan is running for the Senate. Holden wants to succeed Carnahan as Birch Tree’s next Governor.
