Teamsters Union members are preparing for a strike against Associated Wholesale Grocers in Springfield. Negotiations are to resume Wednesday. Associated plans to contract with other companies to provide its warehouse workers and its transportation services instead of employing its own people. The company says it could save 43-million dollars in the nxt five years. Teamster contracts expire April first. Twelve-hundred people face loss of their jobs.
