Two of the hottest teams in the NHL clash in St. Louis tonight when the Blues host the Washington Capitals. The Blues have the most points in the NHL with 99, but the Caps have the league’s best record since Christmas. Washington was four games below .500 at the Christmas break, but has gone 27-6-5 since, to rise to a tie for second in the Eastern Conference with 90 points. Tonight’s game starts a busy stretch of 8 games in 14 days for the Blues. After hosting the Caps, St. Louis plays its next three on the road.
