Got Sense?

PETA has proven once again just how out of touch it is with the American public. If you’re not familiar with PETA, and boy are you lucky if you’re not familiar with PETA, they are People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. That sounds reasonable, but what they really want is to treat animals like humans. Animals are not humans. (Okay, at his point you’re thinking, “What does this have to do with sports?” Well, nothing. But give a guy a forum and the power goes right to his head. But I digress.)PETA has started an ad campaign entitled “Got beer?” which encourages college students to drink beer instead of milk. That’s a great idea, let’s encourage a group already infamous for underage binge drinking to have another round. PETA is the same group that tells us it’s cruel to trick fish into impaling themselves on our hooks. Earth to PETA: Have you ever heard of a little something known as the FOOD CHAIN? Tell you what: Why don’t you come over to my place and we’ll discuss it over a nice dinner? I’m serving veal.
