In a B game Monday, Andy Benes finally had a good outing. Benes pitched four innings against the Expos, striking out five and walking none. He allowed one run, on a solo homer. The Cards fell to the Mets 6-2 in their main game, as pitcher Luther Hackman gave up a pair of home runs. Infielder Eduardo Perez drove in a run for the Cards. Today the Cardinals are back in action against the Cleveland indians.
