Two bills sent by a construction company to a Buchanan county water district is being investigated by the county sheriff. The owner of the construction company says he never sent the bills, which total 39-hundred dollars. The St. Joseph News-Express reports the former president of the water district board had the construction company run a water line extension on some property he owns about the time the public water supply district at Rushville was billed. He has resigned as board president and has agreed to pay the 39-hundred dollars.
