A warning about fraudulent loans comes from the state division of finance. The division says consumers need to be careful of ads in free publications offering unsecured loans regardless of credit. In the deal the borrower is asked to send a brokerage fee payment before the loan money is sent. The person who sends the brokerage fee loses that money and never gets the loan. The division of finance has checked a couple of the addresses given by the so-called loan companies…found one was a vacant lot and the other address did not exist.
