MSSC, NWMS, Drury Play in Regional

March 9, 2000 By admin Leave a Comment

The Division two South Central Regional tips off tonight in Joplin at Missouri Southern State College. The Lions are the top seed, and have a bye in the six-team regional. Northwest Missouri State, which is 22-7, opens the tournament tonight against 23-5 Northeastern State of Oklahoma. In the second round, the Bearcats would face Midwestern State (Texas), a team the Bearcats beat 78-67 earlier this year. In the other game tonight, Springfield’s Drury University, 22-5, faces 22-6 Washburn. The winner of that contest faces Missouri Southern tomorrow.
