Emerson Bridge Bid Accepted

The main span of the Bill Emerson Memorial Bridge at Cape Girardeau will be built by an Indiana company. It will cost almost 54-million dollars. The state transportation commission has accepted the bid. The Illinois transportation also has to agree. Illinois and Missouri will only pay ten percent of the cost each. Federal money will pay the remaining 80 percent.
