Missourians are pretty evenly split on their choices among major candidates for governor just a few days after filing for office began. A poll done for the Kansas City Star says Republican Jim Talent is favored by 36 percent of possible voters surveyed. Democrat Bob Holden has 34 percent. A spokesman for the Mason-Dixon Polling Research company says many voters don’t know who these guys are. For those who need help–Bob Holden is the state treasurer. Jim Talent is a Congressman from St. Louis.
