Charter Communications, one of the nation’s biggest cable television companies, is getting bigger with the purchase of another cable system in Michigan. The system in Kalamazoo will cost Charger about 172-million dollars in Charter stock. Charter is based in St. Louis. It serves 40 states and more than six million subscribers.
