The trial is underway in St. Louis for the leaders of the Evans Family prostitution ring. A half dozen people, five of them named Evans, are on trial, charged with promoting interstate prostitution, money laundering and conspiracy. Nine other people already have pleaded guilty. They’re accused of running prostition operations in Missouri and 23 other states using 50 women and girls. Some of the girls were as young as thirteen.
