The Missouri Valley Conference is ignoring calls from some civil rights leaders that the Adam’s Mark Hotel in St. Louis be boycotted by teams and fans involved in this weekend’s conference basketball tournament. Two of the teams and some of their fans are staying at the hotel. A conference spokesman says the conference is aware of the federal discrimination lawsuit against the hotel chain. But he says the conference chooses to honor its contract. And, he says, past surveys show people like the place.
