Forcing Parental Responsibility Debated

The state senate thinks parents should be liable for the things their kids do, especially if it can be proven the parents’ own negligence was involved. Senator Marvin Singleton of Joplin has added the provision to a bill being debated in the senate. His provision would allow a judge to order parents to pay as much as 20-thousand dollars in restitution for damage caused by their kids.
