MU volleyball’s Kreklow gets 400th win

The Mizzou volleyball team defeated Baylor, 3-1 (25-22, 17-25, 25-20, 27-25), on Saturday afternoon at the Hearnes Center. The win is the 400th in the career of head coach Wayne Kreklow as the Tigers move to 20-9 and 6-6 in Big 12 play. Mizzou has now won 20 matches in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2004 and 2005 as Kreklow becomes the third active coach in the Big 12 to surpass the 400-win mark.

“We have been fortunate to be in situations where we have had great support and have been able to coach some great players,” Kreklow said about reaching 400 career wins. “I think it is a great accomplishment, but to be honest, I wasn’t even really thinking about it tonight; all I wanted to do was beat Baylor because I knew what a big match this was for this team.”
