The United States flag and Missouri flag at government buildings across the state will be at half-mast Tuesday after Governor Nixon ordered it to honor Master Patrolman Jeff Taylor,31, who died on June 3 after being struck by lightning during relief efforts in Joplin on May 23.
Taylor was a member of the Riverside Police Department, near Kansas City. He was a member of a 12-person team who responded to the tornado.
