Top Stories:  A jury in southwest Missouri is deadlocked on the fate of Ash Grove’s Craig Wood, who has been convicted of killing a ten-year-old girl in 2014.  Under Missouri law, the only options for a first degree murder conviction are death by lethal injection OR life in prison without parole.  And Mayor Sly James of Kansas City is making every effort possible to get out the vote in favor of a $1 billion single terminal airport for the city that’s on today’s ballot. The existing facility was built in 1972. James tells Missouirnet it’s important for the airport to be an attractive option for airlines to expand their service, thus providing more travel destinations for the city.
