According to Royals GM Dayton Moore, speed was not a factor in the car wreck that killed Yordano Ventura, the 25 year old starting pitcher who died on Sunday in the Dominican Republic.  The reports I’ve read said that no alcohol was present, but that toxicology tests would take three weeks.

The sad part of the story is that perhaps Ventura would have had a better chance for survival if he had been wearing his seat belt?

I’ve been a supporter of Kim Anderson of Mizzou basketball from day one, but after Saturday’s game and Anderson’s comments, my confidence in his ability to fix the issues took a big hit.  I’ll explain why.

Also, we can learn a lot from Betty White and other 95 year olds.  I’ll pass along some great advice I read from her.
