Once you invest your time into nine innings of a baseball game, you’re doing a disservice to yourself if you bail out of an extra inning game. That’s why I stayed up until 1:30 in the morning. I did it strictly on principle. I wasn’t giving up even though I had to get up for work in less than three hours.
Mizzou football is going through some growing pains, let’s not kid ourselves. Before you get down on this team it might be a good time for a dose of reality. I think senior linebacker Michael Scherer did a great job of explaining what the issues are right now with the Tigers on the defensive side of the ball.
He talks about the difficulties for college players to not only pick up a defensive scheme, but then to learn a new one in the middle of their college career. While you may be frustrated with a team that has a lot of talent, but isn’t meeting their potential, keep in mind there’s a learning curve.
