Northwest Missouri State jumped out to a huge first half lead at Central Oklahoma Saturday afternoon at Wantland Stadium, and cruised to a 56-10 win.  The victory was the 21st straight for the defending national champs of Division II football.

The Bearcats scored 42-point in the first half, as quarterback Kyle Zimmerman completed 14-of-19 passes for 241 yards and five touchdowns.  Shawn Bane caught three touchdowns and 119 yards.

“I thought we played really well,” Northwest coach Adam Dorrel told Bearcatsports.com. “We executed our game plan. It was to come in and try to challenge with some vertical balls early in game, and try to keep them from blitzing us and stacking the box. I thought we did that. I don’t know if we could have executed any better with our receivers and quarterback play.”
