Francisco Lindor’s go-ahead sacrifice fly in the eighth inning was the difference as the Cleveland Indians beat the Kansas City Royals 3-2 on Sunday.  The defending World Series Champs see their season come to an end with no playoff appearance and an 81-81 record.

Carlos Santana drew a walk off starter Ian Kennedy to start the inning, Jason Kipnis followed with a double and Lindor hit a fly ball deep enough to right field for the lead.

The Royals finish the year asking a lot of what ifs?  Had this not been an injury plagued season, where would they have finished in the standings after reaching the past two World Series?

It was their first non-winning season in four years.
