Maikel Franco singled in the go-ahead run in the fourth inning off Cardinals rookie pitcher Luke Weaver as the Phillies topped the Cardinals, 4-2, in Philadelphia.

Jeremy Hellickson tossed seven innings of two-run ball to pick up the win. Jeremy Hazelbaker’s two-run homer was all the offense for St. Louis. Luke Weaver gave up nine hits and three runs to take the loss.

The Cards’ had their five-game win streak snapped, but remain 1.5 games up on Miami and two of the Pirates for the second Wild Card position in the NL.
