Rain and a late Milwaukee could not stop St. Louis as Stephen Piscotty’s second grand slam of the season propelled the Cardinals to a 9-8 victory over the Brewers at Busch Stadium Sunday.

The series finale was delayed by rain twice, to start the game and in the seventh inning. With the victory, the Cardinals swept the three game series.

Brandon Moss had a go-ahead double in a two-run fifth, and rookie Aledmys Diaz hit his 11th homer.

Michael Wacha notched his fifth win of the season, allowing two runs and nine hits and escaped his fifth and final inning when Aaron Hill grounded into a double play on a 3-1 count with the bases loaded.
