Central Missouri Baseball finished the season ranked No. 4 in the nation in the final American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA)/Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll released this week.

The Mules finished the season 43-15 overall. They captured their 25th MIAA Regular Season Championship, going 32-7 during conference play. The Mules won their 21st MIAA Tournament Championship and went 4-0 to capture the 17th Regional title in program history, advancing to the NCAA-II World Series in Cary, North Carolina.

The Mules were picked to finish third in the MIAA Preseason Coaches Poll and were unranked in every poll in the preseason.

Missouri S & T had its best season in program history finishing 39-20.  They were champions of the Great Lakes Valley Conference’s West Division – and reached the regional title game for the first time ever.

The Miner’s run at an NCAA Division II Midwest Regional title ended against Southern Indiana a 10-5 loss in the championship game of the tournament.
