Mizzou Softball will host an NCAA Regional for their eighth straight year, earning the honor Sunday evening by the NCAA Division I Softball Selection Committee. This is the Tigers tenth straight NCAA bid, dating back to the 2007 season.

Mizzou earned the No. 15 overall seed in the national bracket with a 39-14 overall record and 14-10 mark in Southeastern Conference play.

Mizzou will host BYU (35-19, 12-3 West Coast), Louisville (35-15, 15-8 ACC) and Nebraska (33-19, 13-9 Big Ten), May 19-21.

The Tigers will face BYU in their first game on Thursday, May 19. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. (CT) and will broadcast live on ESPN2.

The Tigers must try to put aside the distractions of allegations against Coach Ehren Earleywine regarding his treatment towards some players. An over month long investigation is ongoing.

Several players on the team have supported Coach E with an open letter protesting the way Athletic Director Mack Rhoades has handled the allegations and proceedings.
